Marko Ivanović (born in 1976 in Berane) is a graduate agricultural engineer with extensive experience in the banking and insurance sectors in Montenegro.

He began his professional career in 2001 at Opportunity Bank AD Podgorica (now Erste Bank), where he held various positions of responsibility, including Client Advisor and Head of the Leasing Department, gaining extensive operational and managerial experience in banking.

Following his successful career in banking, he moved to the insurance sector, where from 2008 to 2011 he served as Director of Sales at Sava osiguranje AD Podgorica, developing expertise in both life and non-life insurance. He further advanced his career in the insurance industry as CEO of Merkur osiguranje AD Podgorica from 2011 to 2014, where he was responsible for the company’s strategic management and development.

Returning to the banking sector, he continued his career in senior management positions, serving as Asset Management Manager at Komercijalna banka AD Budva and later as Director of the Corporate Banking Department at Atlas banka AD Podgorica, where he managed key business segments and corporate client relationships.

His experience and expertise have also been recognized at the institutional level. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro from 2021 to 2023. Since May 2023, he has served as President of the Council of the Insurance Supervision Agency of Montenegro, as well as a member of the Council for Financial Stability of Montenegro.
